A fox was skulking

Along the ground

Watching the sheep

Not making a sound



Waiting silently

For the right time

Cubs are hungry

And starting to pine



He watches

Chooses his prey

Hoping the lamb

Close by him will stay



He jumps

He bites

In for the kill

His cubs they feed

And take their fill
