REST EACH NIGHT IN GOD


I do not seek the comfort
Of tomorrows safe and sure
I do not seek the blessings
Of happiness, health and more
I only seek the courage
To surrender all to God

To live each day as Jesus did
And rest each night in God

I do not seek the freedoms
From my burdens woes and cares
I do not seek compassion
For the sins I have to bear
I only seek the patience
To learn God’s plan for me

I do not seek more mercy
The Lord has been kind to me
I do not seek obedience
Unless in service to thee
I only seek saving grace
For those who don’t know it’s there

These are the Lord’s gifts to me
