Progression



Many times I’ve wondered, what it is about you,



Many times I’ve asked myself why I care,



You said words that cut to the core



Oh everything that I bore.



Had me thinkin’ that it was all my fault,



I didn’t know what I was supposed to do,



Had me wonderin’ what life’s all about, this life with you.



I turned within myself to figure things out,



I wanted so see what I was all about,



I saw someone who was so timid and shy,



I also knew that was a lie,



So being true to me,



The change began.



Today among the challenges,



I see where my path lays,



I see the light at the end of the tunnel,



I see where happiness is.



It is within myself,



And the choices I make,



It’s in the voices of my children,



And the friends that I make,



And nothing will I ever forsake.
