A paragraph is a group of sentences that develops one main idea. It has parts, characteristics and types. Its parts are its topic sentence, support and conclusion. Its characteristics are its unity and coherence. Its types are narrative paragraph, descriptive paragraph etc. Understanding these three important things about the paragraph helps better read and write the paragraphs.
