Poem about navigational stars and day dreams |
| I’ve dreamed myself around this world a million times. Polaris guides me North to the Canadian wild. I dance across the Atlantic, idyllic - I drift down the Rhine But in times past the little bear was of a different kind; Thuban , the dragon guided Phoenician waters wild. I’ve dreamed myself around this world a million times. Paleolithic man not yet fully prepared for great Lyra’s shine, Barely able to string the wonders of the Nile. I dance across the Atlantic, idyllic - I drift down the Rhine. From ancient days to modern times We have looked to the stars to be our guides. I’ve dreamed myself around this world a million times Idyllic dreams of progress guide our minds. We dance across the sky like our luminescent dials. I dance across the Atlantic, idyllic - I drift down the Rhine. An historical account of navigational goldmines Leads me now to places I have searched in my mind’s eye. I’ve dreamed myself around this world a million times. I dance across the Atlantic, idyllic - I drift down the Rhine. |
