Star

A little poem about a binary star system, but with a deeper meaning too ...

there exists, in the darkness
a solitary Star
lost, alone, forlorn
Her light has been dimmed
by a former partner
drawing off vibrance
leaving Her torn

there exists, in the darkness
a radient Star
unaware of the power within Her
She shines just as bright
as any star out there
in fact She shines
so much brighter

there exists, in the darkness
a wonderful Star
no longer a binary part
She just needs to glimpse
how amazing She is
then maybe She'll glow
from Her heart

there exists, in the darkness
a beautiful Star
that hopefully is able to see
just how gorgeous
and dazzling She is
and might, someday,
orbit with Me
