Trapped

In a situation that seems hopeless

Trapped
And I cannot breath
I gasp for air but nothing is there
It reminds me of the phrase “grasping at straws”

I am lost here
My thoughts do not matter
My fears are laughed at
My ambitions are dismissed
But I cannot get out
I’m trapped here

My choices got me here
What choices do I make now
I am not permitted to make any of my own anymore
Do I deserve this
Is this God’s way of punishing me for something

I cannot go back in time and change anything
I cannot go forward to change anything
I am trapped here
And I cannot breath
