Sex Hygiene in the Schools |
"The public discussion of sex details destroys modesty and shame, the two natural protectors of chastity."(The Covenant of Love; Pope John Paul II.) "It is through sexual sin that sin enters the womb." Saint Jerome; "The woman must keep her chastity and keep shut the gates of Hell." Saint Augustine compared sex to a religious sacrament to be performed to make men.(The City of God) Saint Thomas Aquinas wrote that sex was the greatest threat to civilization: "It is through women that sin enters the world." The Council of Macon, France in 585 debated if women have souls: Genesis 4:2. Adam came from God and Eve from Adam. It was ruled that women have souls, but they are subservient to men. The Council of Bishops in Germany, France and the United States have condemned the teaching of sex education, "Mere knowledge of contraception and hygiene does not instill virtue."(Plenary Assembly of Bishops; October 5, 1979).
