My mind's foe stalks me in the night.
My soul is braced for the next strike.
I fight hard as fear starts to gain,
but I can't see an end in sight.
My struggles cease under the strain
of heavy heart too full of pain.
All my strength begins to decay
as all hope dies, and my faith drains.
Nothing's left at the end of day
to keep the dark monsters at bay.
My only hope is Heaven's might.
Since I'm too weak, I start to pray.
