Mr. Sun

Where does the sun go
at the end of the day?
When I look up in the sky,
it slowly moves away.
Does it go home to sleep
like I do at night?
Or does it have an off switch
like an ordinary light?
I like to play outside
where I see my way.
The moonlight is not good enough,
for my friends and me to play.
I love it’s yellow color
and the heat that dries the rain.
Please hurry up, old Mr. Sun
so I can fly my plane!
