Angels and demons fight to set my soul free

Deep down inside of me
my soul yearns to be free
Free of the demons that curse me
And keeps me chained to a tormented melody

The angels fight both day and night
But the demon that holds me will not let go
As the angels fight with more zealousness
The demons hold fierce with their might

My soul cries and laments
As the angels and demons fight
My soul cannot rid itself of these demons
That hold my life with all their might

The angels they do cry
For God to give them more strength and power
To fight these demons and set me free

My soul fights with the angels
But to no avail as it grows weak and tired
Against the demons mighty strength

The angels never quit nor tire
For the freedom of my soul is their one desire
Yet the battle rages and roars
The angels and I won't relent until my soul is free
