The Messiah

He healed the sick and helped the poor

The prophets wrote about His day,
announced to all, He was the Way.

the Word in flesh became the door.

The Lord had come with saving grace
to pay for sins and take our place.

A cross was made to kill the Son,
Emmanuel, the Holy one.

The darkness came, the light was dim;
the wrath of God was laid on Him.

They gave the Lord a borrowed tomb;
disciples felt impending doom.

Three days and nights His life withdrawn;
the stone was moved, His body gone.

Messiah rose and broke the chains
to free the souls - and now He reigns.
