Saying goodbye to my lover

Two lost souls struggling to find our feet

Amongst the dark our fingers meet

And so it was we gave our hearts

Love brought us together, love tore us apart

Forever I am yours

My heart will tell me it's you I adore

My head however, thinks not the same

If I stay with you there is only pain

So I stay right here by your side

Until I am starved of all my pride

Until I cannot fight no more

Until there is nothing to fight for

How it is we got this way

Still confuses me to this day

It's impossible to leave, even harder to stay

We were the victims, and time was to blame

So we find ourselves in the dark once more

We are both lost, scared and sore

With sorry souls and heavy hearts

By ourselves we face the dark

No hand to hold, our feet we find

We are stronger on our own

Than we ever were combined

We see the light and we both know

Fairwell to the past

The future we must go

The clouds will pass

And the sun will shine

And take the day one step at a time
