Preface

A girl awakens in a forest. This takes place hours after the events of the actual story.

Green. Everything is green. The leaves on the trees swaying back and forth, the soft moss underneath my fingers. Time is at a standstill. My eyes are wide open, staring up at the blue sky through the tangled branches. I’m awake. I turn my head until I am staring at the base of the tree next to me. I slowly sit up, and take in my surroundings. I’m in the middle of a dense forest, with trees all around and no sign of a clearing. I’m looking for something, but I don’t know what. Something is nagging me in the back of my mind. And then I finally see it. I remember where I am, why I’m here, and suddenly I wish I could forget again.
