Night

Just my random train of thought on night...tried to express it through a poem

Night, with all its emptiness
Dawned, upon people, various
Silence-deadly, earth overpowered
Darkness deathless

People retrieved, back to their bed
Refreshing for the long day ahead
Babies, lulled to sleep
Mothers too, amidst nightmares

Lonely farers, moonlight guiding
Walk, afraid of the unaware
Searching, thieves set out, in despair
For house wares

Night still on
Darkness prevails
