Short work on the daily effects depression has on one's ability to function.

There’s so much I should be doing
Besides sitting
Listening to the droning of the fan
It’s so quiet here
Sometimes too quiet
It draws me into my thoughts
And my mind pleads for distraction
Making it difficult to accomplish
Simple daily tasks
Making it difficult to write
Something worth reading.
