Rest & Relaxation

My entry for the Rhythm and Rhyme Contest (Tri-Fall)

We’re going to the beach
to have fun
building sand castles in the sand.
On the shore as we each
create one,
lending the other a helping hand.

The sand is silky smooth
on our feet,
laughing and playing together.
The sound of waves does soothe.
It’s a treat
combined with the coastal weather.

Soon enough, we must leave
paradise
after all of our time spent here.
The stress we did relieve,
it was nice,
will be the highlight of our year.
