Rest In Piece

This poem is about my cat, Lover whom was my best friend until her death.

One day
everything is great
the next
you're laying on the floor
flopping around
as the seizer takes control
my heart drops
as you lay there
montionless
crying
i dial the phone
begging my mom
to hurry home.
10 minutes later
you're walking around
like nothing happened
I could breath again.
a couple days later
it happened again
but I was there
willing to hold you
while your world
was turned upside down
dazed and confused
you try to get up
but your leg gave out on you
crying
i call my mom
once again.
they only got worse
as the days
came and went
we could no longer
put you through that pain
we called the doctor
he understood.
within 10 minutes
you were gone
off to heaven
i was left here
sad and alone
now i sit here
writing about your death
shedding a tear
for your memory
