Goodbye

This poem is about a person deciding not to waste anymore time on a dead end relationship

So much pain is raging inside
Because I realize I'm living a lie
If I took away I love you to show me how you feel
Would you have other ways to prove your love is real?
Our love was like an ocean
Flowing freely in the breeze
And just like before you weren't sure
If we were meant to be
So you said you needed space and bolted for the door
With tears filling my eyes I kissed you goodbye
And told you I would wait no more
