Came the yelp from the bath-room ‘Twas a typical sticky–summer day Basketball-Swimming-Showers–then a movie Cool dark basement Dazy peace pierced by Panic running out of the bathroom “There was a freaking hornet in my swim trunks!” Terror, Relief Brewed in his eyes We flopped on the floor Crying from Joy At our friend’s bewilderment. No matter how sweet enticing nolgia may seem, Never–in civilized adulthood–will you find your privates confronted by an angry, stinging insect. |
