The sky is drained of stars tonight
Like the last time you said goodbye
To me, and to my heart, you said
“No one will ever love you again”

And I watched you turn away
With a sinking feeling here to stay

but you just kept walking into the black

And I screamed “Dammit!” and began to cry
And you kept on going, not caring why
