I wrote this when my boyfriend went off to college

I was in love when you said Hello,
but hello always ends with a goodbye
you hold my heart as you say farewell,
with the promise to see eachother soon
Hello comes and goes,
on the street,
on the face of a stranger,
on tear stained lips,
but goodbyes last forever
our goodbye will forever demolish the love we felt
our dreadful goodbye,
foreshadows the breaking of a promise
See eachother soon...?
promises always break eventually
along with my heart
