Forgiveness

Short poem of the heart of forgiveness. Do not go to your gave with an unforgiving heart.

Life is too short to harbor grief
over some perceived hurt or slight
Festering burden
Consuming your life
Crowding out joy and happiness

Your soul is earthly bound
Your burden buried with your body
Walk in spirit beside me
Acknowledge my forgiveness
That which you refused to accept in life

Give pardon to my open heart
Let go of your pain and grief
For forgiveness lifts
the burden from your soul
Rest in eternal peace
