Pace

a simple rhyme when i began to run track. A unique resemblance between running, and life.

In all of life
you run a race
and i do hope
you keep a pace

a pace that will
help you succeed
i pace to help
you find your need

i need you now
to listen close
'cause this here fact
it matters most

most of men
will harshly fall
and listen now
for they will call

call it close
and you may lose
and here my friend
you must now choose

choose to pace
your race too fast
or pace it slow
and let it last
