| Falling, falling out of my reach I grasp as it slips through my fingers I catch it, gripping it in my hands; I cling to it like a leech As it again falls from my grip, I watched it as it falls Desperately I try to piece it back together Leaving everything behind, I try not to look back I see into a mirror and instantly I begin to hate her She stares back at me, she challenges me She teases me and I throw the mirror to the floor It breaks into tiny pieces, as she still stares back I just cannot take it anymore The tiny pieces I cannot fix It is out of my reach, it has gone too far No one can fix it now; I will not have to see her again In everyone’s memory she fades like a dying star |
