Spring Mountain Night

High mountain living
Springtime earth ten inches down
Weather contrasting

Spring on the mountain
April showers only ice
Coating tree and home

Half moon reflects light
Air drawn deeply frosty cold
Diamond fields shine bright

Hello Mister Fox
Holding still, breathing rapid
He does not answer

Silhouette giants
Swaying on gentle breezes
Joined lovers dancing

Pure black, star filled night
Twinkling orbs in velvet sky
