Promise

A Poem by me.

You promised me you wouldn't let me go
you would never leave
you would never forget
but you got up and left,
left me alone, no one else

                                Don't you know a promise is a promise?

You let go of me
For something else
Although you promised
told me not to worry
but worry I have because I'm not letting you go

                                  I've kept my promises to you

You left
You broke it
Your Promise
To Me
And you Broke
Me as well

                                  I knew you wouldn't keep it
