A poem about the life of a raindrop. |
| I float on the waves that shimmer below I am the waves and they are me Though the storms may come and the wind would blow I stay part of them, and part of the sea The sun it blazes down from on high Scorching and burning, it flashes and stings And I start rising into the sky And due to the heat, take on new wings I feel like I’m gliding, on a glorious night Sailing the winds and Sailing the breeze Surrounded by gases - light and bright Constant and watchful, barely at ease The world passes me by as I sail to the sun A mystery how I stay aloft I forget my worry and find its fun To glide through the sky with wings so soft The wind, it changes and blows me south I start to feel all wet and cold Then my heart jumps up into my mouth Of my flight I lose my hold The air, it shimmers as I fall to the ground As I return to my watery state From gas light to watery round I wonder when my fall will abate |
