My first attempt at free verse. it's about coming home after a hard day.

    Simple Solace

    It is a simple solace that we seek
    After a hard day
    Buried deep in a lover’s arms

    That comforting embrace
    That sense of home
    That idea of
    Loving, being loved
    Holding, being held
    Kissing, being kissed

    A moment shared
    Lasting
    Endless
    Time paused
    Troubles forgotten
    The world bending around you
    And your lover

    That simple solace
    That whisper in the night
    “all will be well.”
    Your lover says.
