I realise now, when was it that I first loved you? |
| When was it that I first loved you? Was it when you smiled so sweetly Was it when you winked at me? Did it start when you held my hand And guided me through the crowds? Was it when I caught you staring And you blushed a brilliant red? Or perhaps when I tripped on that hill, And you caught me instead? No, I don’t think it was any of these things. It wasn’t your smile It wasn’t your winks It wasn’t when you held my hand Or stared or blushed or saved me. When I first loved you is simple to say: It was the day you and I first met. |
