First Snow-fall

A poem prompted by the first snowfall

Snowflakes dance and spin;
falling lazily to earth,
blanketing the world around me
hushing the heavy noises
of a loud world
into a quiet hush.
With wonder in my
wide eyes
I turn in circles and watch them
falling.
