I flow along my chosen path until I find home again.

I start out all alone here with plenty of room to move and dance about, but it doesn't take long for my sisters and brothers to join me, pushing me farther and farther into the corner. Too many have taken over my once ample space and I look at them in awe. It's not their fault though, it's what is meant to happen. We become overcrowded and emotions start to run ramped as one piles on top another, until there is no room left, no fresh air to breath in.

We must all work together in order to flow with the rhythm of the wind. Otherwise, we fall behind, some even fall out of place, causing chaos. I feel myself become anxious, nervous, ready for an escape. Patience, in this life, is essential though and I must learn to cope with my surroundings until it is my time. I turn my attention to the beautiful sky laid out before us. Possibilities of where I may end up race through my mind and I suddenly feel at peace.

Mother's pace is slowing, a good sign that our destiny is near. I look down at the vast land Mother has cast her shadow over, a picture of quiet serenity. We are over the countryside and I am ecstatic!

A grumble of thunder from above hushes the panic. It is almost our time. I push my way through the river of disarray, placing myself on the very edge of Mother's existence, eager to be one of the first to escape. I scan the area, searching for the perfect target and ask the wind to stop long enough for me to reach my fate. Thunder roars louder, a warning our time is upon us and Mother gently opens her gates.

I set out on my journey, moving at a snails pace, drinking in the invigorating air. The wind heard my plead and has ceased. I drift straight down as I had hoped. Smiling at a few of my siblings as they hurry past me, I then close my eyes and softly land.

Opening my eyes, I take in my new surroundings. The air is still and quiet, for Mother has moved on and the denim blue sky has returned. I flow along my chosen path until I find my final resting place and eagerly greet the sun's warming rays. In a matter of minutes, I rejoin my life to the sky and patiently start out all alone again, with plenty of room to move and dance about.
