Alone

Even the most confident people sometimes feel alone.

Alone,
Alone,
Alone.
I’m all alone here, no one to help me.
The wolves are hunting me,
Drawing closer and closer,
Surrounding me from all sides.
No one can protect me from myself.
If I let but one defense weaken
Everything will come crashing down
And I’ll be torn to shreds.

Nothing,
No one,
Nowhere.
I have nothing,
No support, no one who understands.
The wolves are coming,
Baring their sharp teeth and growling.
Can I muster enough energy
To fight this seemingly never-ending battle for sanity?
My life is in my own hands,
I can’t let them win.
