A Redemption

I see her in all her beauty and yet wonder what's her purpose here.

A Redemption

See her standing there in her glory,
under the light illuminating my street.
What is her mission here, I wonder,
to save a life, a heart, a dream?

Spreading her wings out to their fullest,
she looks up to the dark night sky.
With outstretched arms, closed eyes,
I hear her chorus as she sings.

"Amazing Grace" holds truth in it,
one of the most spiritual songs voiced.
Never heard it sound so beautiful,
peace and comfort her melody brings.

I take my eyes off her for a second,
and find her standing at my back.
Placing her hands upon my shoulders,
as she whispers, "will you follow me?"

Now I know her reason for being,
It is me she is here to redeem.
