Shadow

This just a poem that I wrote while thinking of things that are going on in my life.

I look but hardly see
I try and speak
but don't know my voice
I have many friends
none notice me
I am the dark corner
out your eye you seek
I am the one who waits
my patience unbound
I watch the world around
to gather knowledge with time

wisdom my age is rewarded
some beyond my years
you may look
but will you see
to understand
the one you seek
you must look within
