Monkey Wind is a poem for children about... the wind blowing monkeys. |
| When the wind is blowing monkeys And one lands on your head You don't need to get upset Or let your face turn red Chances are he never meant To land there in your hair And just like you he's surprised And wondering why he's there He was eating popcorn At the monkey county fair When a great big giant monkey wind Picked him up into the air He's been blowing around for 6 or 7 days And, though surprised, he's happy To be on your head where he now lays If you're a little patient And wait a moment more I'm sure he'll quickly scamper down And go back where he was before But tomorrow when you go outside Be careful where you stand Cuz when the wind is blowing monkeys You never know where they'll land |
