| It was done. She sighed and leaned back in the chair, her aching back muscles protesting the change. Hunching over a screen for ten hours a day had given her bad posture- another thing that would need to be remedied. She closed her eyes briefly, reminding herself that this decision was necessary. A knock on the door signaled it was time to leave. She got up, leaving behind the blinking lights calling for her attention, leaving behind the "emoticons" that just could not satisfy. She opened the door, smiled at her friend, and walked into the sunlight. |
