This is where I sat, and here is where I cried,
I long for you always and bury you with my lies
A plastered smile across my face
a charmed life that won't erase
The pain my love burns into me
A scarring love for none to see
Inflections of a voice held dear
whisper guilty secrets in my ear
that this is the one I left behind
for fear of falling before my pride
I love you now as much as I did then
for the lives of all, I pretend
yet, you still remain my hidden sin.
