A poem using imagery of the elements and nature to express internal turmoil. |
| To The Elements Deep water running like the rain on an airborne dragon's wing, give me serenity and calm, for my tired body is aching and cold. Heavy earth below, stable and peaceful like a sage of the East, lend me your roots, for my mind is flying away. Light winds stroking my chin like the fingers of a loved one, let my movements float and soar for I feel heavy and worn. Raging, everblazing fire, burning like my soul also burns within me, give me light and energy, guide me through these rough times, make me FREE. |
