This is a poem that was written after my biological father and I went our seperate ways. |
| I fail to see my short comings when I place them next to yours. You bear the weight of self-imposed ignorance. Your sight is loathsome to me -for what they say you’ve never been You’re defended and allowed your illusions because of YOUR fragile heart. While I am told instead to grow up and let go of childish grudges. I refuse to let go And I refuse to pretend. For this I affront your pretense of peace. So be rid of me as you seem so eager But Be wary my passing for I have heard it said “anger a demon from your past” a quote beautiful accident “and it will always stare at you from portraits” -for that is all I leave you with |
