A poem about my wife. I know it's sappy, but I figured I'd post it anyways. :-) |
| Writer's note: You may notice that I stole lines from my other poem-- the reason I did so was because it's my wife's favorite from anything I've written! So this is all really a testament to her. Ah as I remember, It was sometime in September And yet fanged winds gummed pink flesh tender. As I stood, half-man, have-slave Awaiting her and my moment brave; And they both came, it turned out Courage solid, you came about And though my careless, callous rout Was blatant; but from my heart you did drought. Fast-forward, 2 intoxicating Autumns past We circled round to Autumn last-- Again, naked I was pressed Upon your sweet eternal breast And uttered once again my desire That we would last as Vestal fire. And when, on mid-month November We derive our fealty pleasure I hope you smile, same as September And remember that though I was petrified Our lives entwined, because I tried. |
