bubble bath

relaxing at the end of the day :)

Steam rises up from the water,
As I lower myself into its essence.
I plunge my soul,
As well as my body.

The sweetness of
Pear berry scented bubbles
Fills my nostrils.

I lay back.
I let my mind empty itself.

In the candlelight flicker,
My curvy silhouette
Dances on the wall.

Thinking of my day’s stresses,
As a mother, and a co-worker,
I submerge myself entirely.
Cleansing my body
And my soul
From the toxins of life.

At last, I pull the plug.
The day's toils depart,
Swirling down the drain.

Relaxed,
My body meets my bed,
Deeply,
completely,
freely.
I drift into a peaceful slumber.
