Parting

parting has such sweet sorrow

I shall have to say good bye today

It brings much relief as I leave you.
I feel a part of me becomes empty
Yet, a new space has opened up
to be filled in with things anew.

I'd like to thank you for your kindness.
I will never forget
your pleasant smile, your humorous sarcasm.
your plentiful stories that always makes me laugh or smile.

But there will always be that one day
when one has to go away.
It could be me, it could be you.
In this case... it's me.

And so, I wish you all the best.
I know its not really goodbye.
I will see you some day in the future.
When our paths crosses again.

Here I am, saying goodbye.
