Smiling

I wrote this poem to express how I feel after a long day.

Smiling,
With soft sheets caressing my skin,
I let myself fall gently
In the abyss of darksome tranquility,
In that space, in that time
Where I can dream, and bells chime,
And shut out that beast
That causes my pain,
And my smile to cease.
Never have I felt such peace
When i fall gently,
Sheets caressing my skin,
Smiling.
