Mocking Bird

A poem I wrote for a College workshop

Difficulty: one to ten syllables per line, ten lines.


Mocking Bird

A
small bird
came to me
and said “Hello”
I was quite surprised,
so I asked, “You can talk?”
“Of course I can talk” he mocked,
“I often get bored with singing.”
This little bird made more sense to me-
more than most people, who talk all the time.
