A tribute to my parents.

Working Parents

God,
Jesus,
Bible,
Church,
Ministry needs.

Broom,
Mop,
Buffer,
Duster,
Custodial needs.

A minister for a mother,
With a degree and everything.
A custodian for a father,
With just high school educating.
Yet I am proud of the work they both do.

A mother of two, whose life was stalling,
At age 44 finally finds her calling.
A father of two, laid off months after marriage,
Got a job after twelve years of what seemed like storage.
That is why I am proud of the work they do.
