Falling

This is a love poem I wrote, one of many.

From the moment I first looked inti your eyes
The world around me began to spin.
From the moment we first kissed so tenderly
The walls around me started to crumble.
From the moment that we first touched
The ground beneath me tumbled.

Once the ground below had disappeared
I felt myself start to fall.
Everything I knew rushed through my mind.
The memories of a painful long ago faded
All that was left was peace and calm.
Then my heart began to race.

I fell so slowly at first that I hardly moved at all
My soul began to soar with my heart.
I began to fall a little more, and faster now.
My walls have gone away now
everything that guarded my heart has gone.
But now I ask, will you catch me?
