The One who for us had died. |
| Word made Flesh And dwelt among us. Raised as a Carpenter, But filled with knowledge and wisdom A Love so great, That overcame all hatred. For man's sake, He was tortured Nevertheless He embraced the Cross And forgave the soldier who lay the tools, For the One who for us was crucified They laugh, they spit, they mocked But failed to see their burdens On His blood-shot shoulders. They called Him the "King of the Jews" But didn't notice the veil being tore And the path made When He shouted, "It is done!" |
