Mine

I wrote this the day after I asked my girlfriend out.

The sun rises in the sky

& shines light through my window

I awaken from my dream

Left only with the remnants

And then it registers that it was real

Hardly able to contain myself

I grab the nearest pillow

And scream until my voice is gone

Before I know it the light becomes faded

Then the day ends

& its dark again
