Words

I've been getting a lot of poetry from a guyfriend, so just thought I'd write a response.

Your words are smooth,
So very sweet,
Into the heart they sink,
True talent is what you posess,
With heart and pen and ink,


But what you intend,
I'd never guess,
I am a bit naive,
To woo? To fool?
I do not know,
Still, Curiosity tugs at my sleeve,


A fork-tongued poet?
Is that you?
I don't know what's on your mind,
So tell me,
straight and true.
